
The polls closed at 5 p.m. Vienna time, amid a good turnout of voters, with 6.3 million eligible voters.
Seven parties and two lists representing a spectrum of society from right-wing to left-wing tendencies competed in the Austrian parliamentary elections.


The official election results are scheduled to be announced next Thursday after the postal votes are counted.
