Participants in a seminar held by the Chamber today on "The Impact of New US Tariffs on Trade Between the Two Countries" stated that there are many trends and challenges currently shaping the economy and trade with the United States.

The participants stressed the need to study economic developments and the priorities of the current US administration under President Donald Trump, and the current dominant issue of US tariffs.

Michael Otter, Head of International Economics at the Austrian Economic Chamber, noted in a statement today the importance of intensifying group discussions and creating opportunities to network with experts from the business world, Austrian companies, and representatives of the business community in the United States.
Otter pointed to the significant economic impact of the US administration's policies on Austria and the European Union in light of US export controls and the widespread impact on exporters resulting from US tariffs.
