This special interview took place with Barbara Steiner, Director of Transform Europe, where she spoke about the importance of the role of civil society in supporting the Ukrainian people in cooperation with the neutral Austrian government.
The management of the conference said that the participants in the conference renewed their condemnation of the unjust Russian aggression against Ukraine, and also affirmed the responsibility of NATO in settling the conflict, which represents a major violation of international law and a perpetuation of violence and the imposition of force.

The participants explained that the Ukrainian people paid a heavy price with the lives of the victims and will continue to suffer from the repercussions of the war in the long run, especially women and children.

The participants called on international peace movements to assume their role and put pressure on the Russian regime to end the war and call for an immediate cease-fire. They also called on the United Nations General Assembly and world leaders to intervene immediately to resolve the conflict.
The participants mentioned that Vienna was chosen as the venue for the conference because it is a neutral country and the headquarters of the United Nations and the Organization for Security and European Cooperation, which contributes to negotiations to resolve the conflict.
