President Nguyen Xuan Phuc congratulated Ambassador Frew on his assignment in Vietnam and, at the same time, congratulated the United Kingdom on the appointment of its new Prime Minister, Liz Truss. President Phuc expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to foster effective and deeper cooperation in the future.
With the UK-Vietnam diplomatic relations celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2023, Ambassador Iain Frew stated that the UK remains committed to expanding cooperation with Viet Nam in a variety of fields, including socioeconomic development, green energy transition, and the common goal of maintaining regional and international peace and stability.

Moldova has successfully launched its first satellite from the International Space Station. This accomplishment was made possible by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) through the KiboCUBE program. The program, which is part of the Access to Space for All initiative, allows teams from developing countries and transition economies to develop and deploy cube satellites (CubeSats) from the International Space Station (ISS).
