The European Respiratory Society (ERS) Conference began today in the Austrian capital, Vienna, and will continue for 4 days with the participation of a large number of doctors, researchers and experts from different countries around the world.

Professor Gabor Kovacs, co-chair of the European Society Conference, said today, Saturday, that the conference is an annual event that brings together respiratory experts from around the world to present the latest developments in respiratory medicine and science.

Kovacs stated that the main program of the conference is held under the slogan "Humans and Machines: Striking the Right Balance" and during the conference, a dialogue will be held with AMECA, one of the most advanced humanoid robots in the world.

Kovacs added that every year, the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Conference has a main theme, in addition to a full set of topics that are always presented, and this year's theme focuses on the rapidly developing field of artificial intelligence in respiratory medicine and science.

Kovacs pointed out that the conference will review the European Union's projects related to sustainable medical development.

 Kovacs said the focus on AI developments in respiratory medicine was timely, noting that the rate of progress and development in this field is both exciting and scary, and the idea of ​​finding “balance” is definitely a hot topic, not just in medicine, but in all sectors. 

Kovacs considered AI to be one of the most comprehensive topics in recent years, as it concerns all disciplines.
