The symposium was attended by a number of Austrian experts who explained the importance of Vietnam's geographical location, its influential role in the global economy, and the history of its people. They also indicated that the Vietnamese people are among the Asian peoples who are most supportive of the European Union and its issues.

Nguyen Trung Kien, Ambassador of Vietnam in Austria, participated in the Diplomatic Academy's celebration. The Austrian spoke of the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of bilateral relations between the two countries. The Ambassador spoke about Vietnam's foreign policy and its support for peace and cooperation with all the peoples of the world. He also touched on the energy and food crises and the repercussions of the war in Ukraine, referring to Vietnam's commitment to development in all economic fields.
