First and foremost, we would like to extend our heartfelt greetings and gratitude to the esteemed media agencies, communities, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends who have worked tirelessly to preserve humanity's cultural heritage, particularly the worship tradition of the Hung King in Vietnam.
This year, Vietnam Ancestral Global continues to engage with organisations, people, associations, foreign communities, intellectuals, scientists, and international friends to organise both offline and online, building on the success of the previous nine years. Vietnam Ancestral Global: Hung King Death Anniversary and Honoring Global Vietnamese Descendants 2024, with the subject of Peace: Ancestral Legacy, will include the following primary activities:
(1) Collaborating with the Vietnamese Community in Saint Petersburg and the Ho Chi Minh Institute, Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation, to plan the 2024 focal programme and offer incense at ancestral worship ceremonies in countries where the project has installed Hung Kings statues.
(2) Working with the Foreign Information Bureau and the Vietnamese Community in Saint Petersburg to present the "Happy Vietnam" photo exhibition in the Russian Federation.
(3) Working with the Berlin-Gesundbrunnen Academy of Music (Germany) to premiere the musical composition "Song of Peace."
(4) Collaborating with organisations to launch the Vietnam Ancestral Global at Vietnam Global Leaders in Paris (March 2024), Poland (April 2024), and Rome, Italy (April 2024).
The online programme will take place at 8 p.m. on March 10, 2024, in the lunar calendar (April 18, 2024).
The online programme will be televised via several channels, including the Vietnam Ancestral Global Day Fanpage: https://www.facebook.com/quoctovietnamtoancau, Hung King TV Global, Hanoi Cable Television (HITV), and Future Now (which has members in 178 countries and territories). With the Ministry of Information and Communications' support, the programme will be broadcast on television channels and streamed live on the Vnews Fanpage, Vietnam News Agency, as well as reported and shared across various Vietnamese media channels, overseas communities, and internationally.
This cultural event is especially important not only for the Vietnamese population who live, study, research, and work overseas, but also for international friends that value Vietnam. This programme, which has been run annually by Vietnam Ancestral Global Day under a common scenario since 2015, aims to create a shared cultural day that connects Vietnamese people all over the world with international friends, builds a strong cultural bridge of friendship, and fosters genuine friendships between Vietnam and its international friends.
Over the past 9 years, Vietnam Global Ancestral Day (Strategic Coordination of the Hung Kings Ancestral Day and Vietnam Day Worldwide) (VAG) (2015) has collaborated with associations, overseas Vietnamese communities, Vietnamese government agencies, and international friends to: organize ceremonies to set up Hung Kings statues in over 10 countries and territories worldwide; directly organise the Hung King Death Anniversary; and Honour Global Vietnamese Descendants.
Specifically, in 2018, the initiative gained written endorsement from the Prime Minister's Office to continue conducting the Vietnam Ancestral Global Day in countries with large Vietnamese communities abroad, as well as to conduct national-level scientific research projects. From 2019 to the present, the Vietnam Ancestral Global has been supported as an international legal entity by ICI International (an Austrian non-profit organisation that conducts cross-cultural research and science) in order to continue spreading the worship culture of the Hung Kings of Vietnam around the world.
Let’s join the Vietnam Ancestral Global Day Project in continuing to honour our ancestors, reigniting the flame of patriotism, and showing thanks to our roots - the Vietnamese people's national filial piety! This national filial piety has created a resilient spiritual strength passed down from generation to generation, helping Vietnamese people overcome all adversities; continuing to build a strong cultural bridge, fostering sincere friendships, promoting friendly relations and peace between Vietnam and international friends; continuing to spread and position the Vietnamese people's cultural values and virtues in respect; and honouring the values and virtues of other nations.
We wish you good health, peace of mind, clarity of thought, and unity for a strong and prosperous Vietnam on the international stage!
With sincere thanks!
