Could you please share the main activities of the Bangladesh Taekwondo Union?
Vice President AKM Rafiqul Islam: The Bangladesh Taekwondo Union (BTU) is dedicated to promoting and developing Taekwondo as a martial art and competitive sport in Bangladesh. Our main activities include organizing national and regional Taekwondo competitions, providing training programs for athletes and coaches, and facilitating participation in international events. Additionally, we focus on youth development programs to cultivate the next generation of Taekwondo practitioners and promote the values of discipline, respect, and self-defense through Taekwondo training in schools and communities.

Cooperation between the Bangladesh Taekwondo Union and the World Police Taekwondo Federation?
Vice President AKM Rafiqul Islam: The cooperation between the Bangladesh Taekwondo Union and the World Police Taekwondo Federation (WPTF) has been very fruitful. This collaboration has provided us with valuable resources and support for training our athletes, enhancing our coaching methods, and organizing events that adhere to international standards. The WPTF has also assisted in facilitating exchange programs and participation in international competitions, which has significantly contributed to the growth and exposure of Taekwondo in Bangladesh. We look forward to continuing this partnership and exploring new opportunities for mutual benefit.

What are you and the Bangladesh Taekwondo Delegation's expectations for this visit to the World Police Taekwondo Federation (WPTF), Korea?
Vice President AKM Rafiqul Islam: During this visit to the World Police Taekwondo Federation in Korea, we aim to strengthen our existing relationship and explore new avenues of collaboration. We are particularly interested in learning about the latest training techniques and methodologies, enhancing our organizational capabilities, and gaining insights into best practices for managing large-scale Taekwondo events. Moreover, we hope to establish connections with other international Taekwondo communities, which will be beneficial for our athletes and coaches. Ultimately, our goal is to bring back knowledge and experiences that will help elevate the standard of Taekwondo in Bangladesh and foster a greater appreciation for the sport among our citizens.
