Tim Deeg is a native Idahoan and was raised on a farm 10 miles south of American Falls. He attended American Falls High School and Idaho State University, majoring in engineering and business. Tim and his wife Diane (Jenkins) have been married 42 years and have two daughters, Danielle and Brekelle. Tim continued his education and became a partner in the family farming operation. During the past 37 years, he has developed more than 1,000 acres of irrigated land, farmed additional dryland acreage and has managed several farms held in trust. Tim has recently retired from the farming operation.
Tim has been involved in many community organizations including director of the Power County Farm Bureau, Lions Club president, Farm Service Agency alternate committeeman, American Falls Congregational Church moderator, member of Gov, Kempthorne’s Family Farm Security Task Force and the Idaho Power Energy Advisory Committee.
Tim became involved and participated and served in many positions for the Aberdeen-American Falls Ground Water Association and is currently serving his 18th year as president of the Idaho Ground Water Appropriators Inc., an organization that represents all of the groundwater users within the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer on various water issues in Idaho.
