Vienna - Today, the work of the "Euromoney" international conference on supporting economic growth in the countries of eastern and central Europe began today, which will last for two days in the Austrian capital, Vienna, with the participation of ministers and economists from various European countries.
The conference was inaugurated by Alfonso Garcia Mora, Regional Vice President of the International Finance Corporation, in the presence of Fatmir Pesimi, Minister of Finance of North Macedonia and Klemen Bostjanic, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia.
The participants in the conference discussed energy security and the costs of keeping the electricity supply going, in addition to Russia's next steps in the current Ukrainian war, and ways to prevent the use of energy supplies as a weapon.
The participants discussed the economic and political repercussions of the different policies towards European sanctions on Russian energy, in addition to discussing alternative energy sources and their effects on the carbon goals in Europe for the year 2030.
