A statement by the Austrian Foreign Ministry said today, Thursday, that Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg met his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son in Vienna, and they discussed good bilateral relations and the various hotbeds of international tension at the present time.
The statement noted the Foreign Minister's special emphasis on the close trade relations that have developed between the two countries over the past fifty years, as the volume of Austrian-Vietnamese trade increased forty-fold between 1995 and 2021 to a record level of 1.38 billion euros.
Yesterday, the Vietnamese Embassy in Vienna organized a concert at the "House of Music" on this occasion, in the presence of ambassadors, public figures and leaders of international organizations.
